HTC P4550 TYTN II Product Review

Ok so there’s been buzz around the stores and forums about the new HTC P4550 TYTN II and we’re wondering if it really is all it’s cracked up to be?

Let’s look at the highlights:

- It offers a 3.5G HSPDA connection that is apparently 9 times faster than the current 3G standard (which I have to mention, Apple’s iPhone still remains in the Quadband GSM form - still awaiting the 3G updated version) as well as your standard GSM, EDGE and GPRS technologies

- The P4550 supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies as well as TOMTOM GPS navigation and applicable software

- Supports still and video capture with a built-in 3 megapixel camera

- An easy to use Windows based interface (complete with a suite of Microsoft Mobile applications including Worldcard Mobile) with a QWERTY keypad combined with a touch screen/stylus form

Now on paper this new gizmo sounds like the perfect Apple eater, and at a competitive price to boot! I don’t know about you, but if I had the choice, I’d rather take my work outside with me and enjoy a little sunshine - or better yet a latte at my favorite coffee shop. Will the HTC P4550 TYTN II be ‘The’ PDA to beat all PDAs? Or is all this talk simply hype?
